90th time listening to this.

I literally had this looped for about an hour a few days ago. And I ended up singing along with it, and my roommate was looking at me like I was having a stroke.

Funny piece. I can't even say anything constructive about this one. Gotta pick up my throat; lost it after laughing so hard. (LOL FUNNY PUN GIVE ME A HELPFUL REVIEW)

DIssonant at first.

I actually liked it. Though the drums can be tuned down a bit, the synth you used was flawless. It was very soothing. Damn, now I'm thinking of doing an ambient remix of this.

One thing I would suggest near the end, though, is carrying the rhythm and fading it out instead of having it cut off. Other than that and the drums - very minor concerns - this song is great.

AliceMako responds:

Well, it's done. To the best of my current abilities anyway.

I couldn't deduce which of the drum patterns was causing offence so i took measures to hamstring them both. The breakbeat via rerouting the device and reducing overall volume output, the kickdrum beat by compression and a bit of automation.

I'm rather pleased with the result, it brings out the menace of the final pads i think, your suggestion of the fadeout i thank for that.

There's 13 synths doing their thing in this piece actually and i'd love to hear it remixed :3 The composition is in 4/4 at a tempo of 100

Every action movie...

Needs a track like this. Really does have that action flick feel, but I ended up dancing to this. The variations are well spaced out, and how you varied each segment of the song was interesting in their own way. I could play out an entire fight scene to this, and it just makes me want to make something like it.

Damn, you beat me to it.

I was gonna make an industrial version, but I feel like it would do this version injustice.

The Epic Sax Guy is probably laughing his ass off and jamming to this at the same time. I like how this one sample was manipulated several different times and different ways, and it never got old to hear it. I'm hoping to hear this in clubs eventually.

This grew on me.

At first, I didn't really like it. But after listening to it a few times, I found myself nodding my head and stomping my foot to this. The electric guitar is a good touch and gives it that industrial rock feel. I think it just needs some EQing. The guitar in the beginning was a bit faster than the rhythm, but hell, it's still badass.

Good stuff overall. I'd say work a bit more on this one, and it'll be absolutely solid.

Petronix responds:

Thank you for your comment, Chaotichism :)

Perfect.

Not a thing wrong with this piece. The intro was just so involved, the array of sounds and distortion almost blew my mind. Leading up to a short and sweet "chase scene" feel. Additionally, if this isn't used for a movie, I'd be sorely disappointed.

Vegeta's smiling right now.

Pretty much got it dead on. I can only imagine that this is exactly how the two would interact when Goku's not kicking their asses. Good stuff.

No sustain?

Doesn't matter. This is still a beautiful piece. If this is improv you came up with in 5 minutes, I applaud. Whenever I play on my keyboard, I tend to use the same, if not a similar, progression. To me, it's the best progression to use when you're conveying such sullen emotion. The softened delay makes up for the lack of sustain, so there's no problem there.

Very good stuff. I think anyone with a good ear for music needs to hear music like this. So don't worry about not being heard. If you're not happy here, then go elsewhere. Play for people in your neighborhood, or if need be, just keep advertising yourself. Be confident, just not too cocky. All will work out.

ObsidianSnow responds:

I've started looking into doing some live performances very recently, yeah... If I can manage to get a busking licence, I think I'll start there. Word is that my city doesn't take too kindly to amplification of any kind though, so an electric keyboard might be out of the question.

In any case, thanks for your thoughts and the review, Chaotichism.

"Hope you enjoy this track," huh...

Would it be wrong to say my ears fapped to this?

From beginning to end, I had in my head a computer reading, filing, storing and deleting data - in a less than plain fashion, of course. And you know I was dancing to this. There isn't too much or too little with this track, and the effects you used were just perfect for that industrial sound. I wouldn't be surprised if someone wanted to use this for one of their flash movies.

I can't say that any improvements can be made to this. 10/10, 5/5, faved, downloaded.

RivetGirl666 responds:

Thank you very much :) Your comment certainly made my day, and will inspire even more tracks.

Sad RPG tune.

This reminds me a lot of one of those moments in a video game where the main character begins reflecting after a major battle with someone s/he was close to. Nice and simple, progression basic and well done. Technical terms aren't exactly my friend, but the only thing I think could be improved upon is near the 2:26 mark. I just think a transition is needed between the two key changes. But that's all I can find with this one.

... *sniff* Now...excuse me... *sniff* ...Gotta go.

descara responds:

Thanks for the feedback!

Reading this I realised that transition was pretty much a half-assed way to get back to the home key to make it loop around well that I was going to rewrite but forgot about. Guess I got used to it playing around with different samples in my DAW. Epic fail!

Ever witnessed the culmination of numbers and symbols, aimlessly floating around in space, into one huge and underwhelming microcosm? That's not really what I'm like. But you can think of me that way.
